Cygnet Bay

While at Cape Leveque we visisted Cygnet Bay. Cygnet Bay is a Pearl Farm, however, they take you out on their fast boatto experience the massive tides. The area has the second largest tidal movement in the world.

A swim before our boat ride.

On the boat. This boat goes incredibly fast.
Just going on the boat was fun in itself

Part of our cruise included the seeing whirlpools created by the mass movement of water from the tide. A boat went through these and was a lot of fun. It was like going on a ride at the show. Adrenaline junkie, Ethan, loved it and wanted more. Mitch was glad when it was over and asked "Am I dead?.

A whirlpool. Here the tide is ripping past in
different and moving in different directions.

As we were on the deluxe giant tide experience our trip included the reef waterfall. Below your can see the Talon Reef and the water running off it during the movement of the low tide. Here the water is about 2 meters below the reef. On high tide it is 2 meters above the reef.
